Will it ever end???

Dennis here... I thought I would blog a little and show you what's really going on in the Smallwood 'Hood. Being a father of four girls and a wife who sings and plays piano, we (meaning, they) share a talent of picking one song that must be played constantly, whether it be on the iPod, in the van, on the piano, as a cellphone ringtone, in Tarin's head...and yes, she has not answered the phone because at times she has thought the music was coming from her head, not her cellphone. Anyways, the song of the month(s) is "Popular" from the Broadway Musical, Wicked.

I filmed this without express written consent from Tarin, so it may be pulled from the blog sooner rather than later. She may even revoke my rights to post without knowledge. That's a risk I am just willing to take. Those that need their "Wicked" fix, feel free to watch until your heart's content. Tarin has alway been a little shy when it comes to singing alone, but I've always thought she has a wonderful, beautiful, innocent voice. Anyways...without further ado...Popular played by Tarin, accompanied by interpretive dancing by our girls...

I feel like I am in my own living room! I spend so much time at the piano being told to play a "fast song" or a "crazy song" or a "pretty song" for my dancers. My kids are not so lucky to get to have you singing though!

Somebody call Broadway; I think you may give Kristin Chenowith a run for her money! You really do sing well, Tarin. I'm so jealous. I love how the girls know the words to the song. That cracked me up!

And kudos to Dennis for risking death for our enjoyment!

D - I'm surprised you recorded that without me knowing. I guess now it would just be petty to delete it off of here, but just know that I WILL get you back. For now, consider yourself...

*shunned* :)
