Thursday night our friends went on a little over-night get away and we got to have their girls stay here with us. I anticipated six girls under the age of six being a little crazy, but I was pleasantly surprised. They all play so well together it was like having less kids instead of more! They were so excited about their special sleep over! We put Emmie and Camille together in the bunk beds, and after they played for a while, they zonked out and stayed asleep all night. I think Emmie falls asleep right in the middle of doing things, because she's always sleeping in the most interesting positions.
Yes, those are Emmie's legs you can see, and she was sound asleep...
The next night, as promised, the girls got to try out our new tent with Daddy. Yes, we finally invested in a decent tent. Daddy promised the girls they could "camp" in the backyard on Friday night. They played with flashlights and roasted smores, and then fell right to sleep in the tent as good as can be. They thought it was quite the adventure...
Hayden and Claire had a doctor appointment Friday morning. Claire is 50th percentile for height, weight and head, and Hayden was 75th for height, weight and head. I can't believe my four month old baby has already doubled her birth weight. What happened to my little newborn?
I wasn't sure how Claire would do with getting shots, because it's been a while. I don't think she even realized anything was happening. I told her she had to get a quick ow and then she'd get a sucker and sticker, and she just sat there patiently waiting for her prizes. She didn't even flinch or react in any way.
Hayden, on the other hand, was as mad as I've ever seen her. She's not really ever a fussy baby, so it was extra sad to see her get so worked up. Since shots, she's been crying a lot and had a fever and not sleeping well and really seems to be having a lot harder time with it than my other girls ever did. I had Dennis give her a blessing last night because I was bawling just watching her be in so much pain. I can't wait for her to be back to herself. I hate how torn I feel about the whole immunizations thing. I think they're necessary, but if one of my kids ever has some kind of serious reaction I don't know how I'll ever forgive myself. I'm not sure I can go through this again with Hayden in two short months. I might have to space out the schedule a little more if she's going to have this bad of a time with them.
Well, that's our update for the weekend! This coming week is looking like a calm one, so I'll cross my fingers that it stays that way!

very cute pictures!
Gage had similar reactions to his shots . . . he was usually so happy, but after shots, he'd get a fever and then just cry and cry. Hopefully another day or two and she'll be back to her happy cute little self. Good luck!
Poor Hayden. I hate when my kids are sick! I hope she starts feeling better soon!
Thanks for posting the pictures. I always love seeing those beautiful girls!
