I started Emmie in gymnastics a couple of weeks ago, and so far she's loving it. I decided to try out gymnastics mainly because she kept doing flips all over the house. Her favorite pastime is to jump off the ottoman and do a flip in mid-air. Since she's always been my active, crazy little monkey, I thought this would be a good outlet for her.
I think she's really enjoying having something that's just hers. She is so proud of herself and so happy there. When they are doing a relay or something and she is waiting in line, she's bouncing in place the whole time because she just can't contain her excitement. She loves it and looks forward to it, and I'm so happy to see her so happy!

My dad made a beam for me for Christmas one year. That was the best present! I think he used carpet over padded wood. Gymnastics is great--congratulations!
And this, Tarin, is one reason why you and Dennis are such good parents -- you know them and help them grow. You are right, Emmie seems like a natural gymnast
