So, this past weekend my girls got as close to real camping as they're going to get if I'm involved. Friday night, we set up our big tent (that we pretty much own in case of some crazy natural disaster since it will never be used otherwise) and let them sleep out with their little friends in the backyard. I slept inside on the couch, which is about as far as I'll stray from that nice, comfy bed I love so much.
Then to continue the "camping" theme for the week, we went up the canyon on Saturday with friends and neighbors to roast hot dogs and smores.
The girls loved being up there playing and exploring with their friends while eating lots of yummy, sticky marshmallows.
I had fun chatting with the ladies and taking in the scenery - like Annie's infamous crack and Jillyn molesting a hot dog. It's the simple things that give me joy...
Hayden learned how to stay up late and still be happy...(Kidding, mom, kidding! It's empty, I swear)...
Dennis enjoyed the smores....

Go Jillyn! I'm glad there's another person out there that doesn't want to go camping!!
