Happy Birthday, Uncle Jooj!

Yesterday was my brothers birthday, and we were invited to his home for cake and ice cream. The girls were excited to get together with everyone!

Claire was so excited that I'd used the event as bribery for most of the day.

"Take a good nap and then we get to see Grandma and Grandpa!"

"Clean up your room and then you can see your aunt and uncles!"

"Hurry and get your shoes on and we'll go to a PARTY!"

It worked like a charm and she'd been jabbering about it all day. She had a ball playing with everyone - mostly making Uncle Troy her personal jungle gym. As it came time to go, her mood quickly declined. Perhaps I'd build it up a little too much? She was crushed that we had to leave and cried all the way home...
