ParTAY!...

We were lucky enough to spend another day at the Campbell's house this past Friday. Daddy had to work, so I had planned to take the four little girls with me to Amaia's birthday party. It was a somewhat crazy morning trying to get everything together and get out the door, and last minute I realized I'd made no arrangements for my dog and didn't want to leave her alone that long. The wonderful little girls down the street took care of that and let Piper come over for a play date, so we were set!

Last minute, Jodi offered to take Hayden for the day. I felt kind of bad about leaving her behind, but soon realized that 90% of the stress in my life comes from Hayden's CONSTANT talking, whining, crying, and hunger. The drive to Layton with my older three was peaceful and lovely. We even made such good time that we stopped at Shopko on the way there and got each little girl a fun, new outfit. (No, we didn't completely forget about Hayden. She got one too.)

Amaia had a "Minute to Win It" party, which all of the girls absolutely loved. Her cute mommy went above-and-beyond, as usual, and every little girl there had a fantastic time.

On the way home, Claire said, "Do you think Piper has been okay without me? Do you think she was sad? Do you think she was barking? I just miss her so much! But, man, this has been the best day ever without Hayden!"

Sad, so sad. But a tiny bit true. We love you millions, Hayden, but the little break was certainly a welcome one! ;) You can use this post in one of your therapy sessions when you're older.

Thanks for having us again, Campbell's! We are hoping for a kid-free double date very soon. Love you all!

I'm not sure if you had more fun fun WITH us or just WITHOUT Hayden. I'm really thankful for the help- I'm glad you made the trip down! My taste buds are back and I'm ready to go out on that non kid date!
