Family Fun Day!

When we arrived home from our Cancun trip, we were excited to have a three-day-weekend with the kids - mainly because I had major guilt issues for leaving them so long. On Saturday we just recovered and visited with Grandma, and on Sunday we did the whole church thing and got the house put back together. We promised the kids that Monday would be FAMILY FUN DAY, which Claire and Hayden ran around the house chanting for what seemed like hours on end. Fuuuuuun. We took the girls to the Children's Discovery Museum at Gateway in SLC. I'd never been there before, and I was really impressed! They had so much fun, and we were only able to tear them away because they were starving and we'd promised to take them to lunch.



Hayden fought long and hard for this car. This is the face of victory...

Hayden had no idea what an iron was or what to do with it, which Dennis thought was HILARIOUS! Ha ha....ha. Wish she did more of this at my house!... Riding in the helicopter... Claire loved the huge magnetic wall... Kaiya played weather girl on the green screen... Kaiya building stuff... Emmie putting on a "play"... Claire making a comic strip... They had so much fun on this fake horse, you'd have thought it was real. Kaiya talked Emmie into dressing up like a cow... I told Claire to drive like Daddy, and she said, "Ohhh, NO!" Grocery shopping... I just had to take a picture of the contents of Hayden's cart. She bypassed all the fruits. She bypassed all the vegetables. And she went STRAIGHT for the breads and filled her cart. That's my girl.

At lunch, Kaiya ate two huge ice cream sundae's, and Hayden ate multiple servings of butter...plain. Fun for everyone!
