Lagoon Day AND Weekend fun with Campbell's...

I didn't get many pictures at Lagoon, because we were too busy having fun! Dennis' work has an annual Lagoon day where employees and their families get to go to Lagoon for free. We decided to leave Hayden home with friends this year, which definitely was the right decision! It was a HOT day with lots of lines, and I don't think she would have been a very happy kid. Our kind friends took her (thanks, Kay Kay Kate and Cracker!) and the rest of us headed off for a day of fun.

This was obviously Dennis' favorite ride. Look at that happy face!...

And here was mine. I had to lift my feet up so they wouldn't drag on the ground...

Our friends, the Campbell's, live very close to Lagoon and have a season pass, so they met us there for a couple of hours. My girls were thrilled! This meant we got to see them twice in one week, which never happens. More on that below... :)

How beautiful are all these girls?...

After a few hours, we were roasting from standing in so many long lines, and before I knew it the girls were running straight for the fountains at the Lagoon entrance. I took the opportunity to sneak away and buy myself a cinnamon roll. Then in my haste to eat it without having to share, I dropped half of it on the ground. It was a sad time...

A couple of days later (on Sunday), the Campbell's came to our house for dinner. My girls were super excited to play with their girls again, and of course Marietta brought a bunch of fun things for them to do. My girls better realize how lucky they are that although they have a completely non-crafty, uncreative mom, I do have a LOT of really amazing crafty friends. Marietta is super-mom and had fun kid activities totally covered.

Doing art work...

They even brought something I'd never seen called Balloonies. The kids LOVED blowing up their own crazy-shaped balloons. Emmie kept going and going until I thought she'd pass out...

The kids even went and played in the pool for a while which allowed us adults get to more important business...

It was so fun to have a chance to visit with the Campbell's. I really do want to thank them for driving all the way out and for making the visit extra special and enjoyable for the kids. Marietta, you really are an amazing, fun mom! Maybe someday I'll grow up to be more like you. :) Hope to see your family again very soon!

Wish we lived closer... but then you'd hate me for dropping my kids off at your house ALL the time just to have them stop asking to go all the time. Hope we get together soon- we had tons of fun!
