Catch up...

What is it about December that always feels about a million times crazier than any other time of the year? Blogging just hasn't been a priority when I'm trying to stay on top of everything else! This past week I've been making neighbor gifts, I've been volunteering at the Kindergarten, finishing up Christmas shopping, wrapping presents, planning the Kindergarten Christmast Party that I somehow got assigned to head up, and planning my Piano Christmas Party that happens to fall on that same day! I've just felt like no matter what I'm doing there is more to do! At least I love this season and time of year and amid the business it all still gets me in the holiday spirit.

Last week was Emmie's pre-school Christmas party. I love that kid. Occasionally she'd sing, but more often than not she was drifting in her own little world, swinging her arms back and forth, making faces, or staring off into space. She was very excited about the present she made and wrapped for me and Dennis, which is currently sitting under the tree.

Last night after a brief Family Home Evening, we took the kids to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point. I'm a huge fan just because you get to sit in the nice warm car and drive though them. I toyed with the idea of taking the kids to temple square, but decided that especially with two of them already coughing and spewing snot, that might be best left for next year.

Claire has had so much fun seeing Christmas lights this year. Every lit-up house is a "castle" and she's always screeching, "Look, Mom! Castle, castle an lights!" She was thrilled with the lights last night and is still jabbering about it this morning.

Christmas shopping is 95% done, and I can't wait to have everything ready to go! I'm so excited to watch the kids on Christmas morning!

I'll try to keep up with this a little better. After Christmas, life should calm down...and will then be so boring I'll probably have nothing to write about!

I think we all understand where you're coming from. We went to TGP to see the lights last night also, it's hard to argue with a heater on full.

Sounds like you're a busy girl. I don't think I'm going to feel the scramble until I get home, I'm living in my own world right now.

We went to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point last night, I have to admit while I love temple square it was very nice to be in my warm car instead of out in the snow and cold!
