While I was teaching piano lessons, Emmie decided it was time to practice her 'nastics. She attempted to climb the shower curtain, to get the the "practice bar" up above. Of course it all came crashing down. When I came up to inspect the damage, she gave me her sad little puppy-dog eyes and said, "Mom, I just wanted to practice my flips!"
I came downstairs for church this past Sunday and Kaiya told me that my "tummy doesn't look as fat as usual". She meant it as a compliment. I think.
Claire found a jar of nailpolish and painted herself and the bathroom with it. I didn't get any shots of the bathroom before cleaning it up, but I did get a couple of Claire's pink arms and face. I spent a good hour scrubbing the bathroom with a toothbrush and nail polish remover. I'm proud to report that Claire is still alive.
When I called Dennis to tell him about the nail polish incident, he said, "I don't think any of our other kids have been this naughty." It was then that I had to remind him of Kaiya getting a hold of a Sharpie pen at this age, coloring some furniture, and giving herself a Hitler-esque mustache that wouldn't come off for days. And of Emmie climbing up the pantry shelves to open a full thing of baby formula and eat the powder while spilling the rest all over the floor. Or of Emmie doing a flip off the arm of the couch and cracking her head open on the fireplace. AND of Kaiya getting a huge tube of Desitin when Emmie was a baby and rubbing it all over her face...The list goes on. How I love 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 year olds. It's always something!
The only old picture I could find (Kaiya)...
Hayden had her first babyfood this week, and LOVES it now. She also finally took a bottle last night (Ta da!) so Dennis and I are feeling really excited that it might actually be possible for us to go on a REAL date, without Hayden, very soon. Can't wait!
Kaiya had pajama day/crazy hair day at school today. She was SO excited this morning. Last night she had me do it in tiny braids after her bath so we could achieve this fabulous look this morning...

Great stories! Be sure to remember them so you can remind the girls how active they were when they have their own active children and you're a grandmother who can laugh without doing any of the work or cleaning up!
(I think your stomach is always flat!)
Kaiya looks like me when i wake up in the morning
WOW I'm shocked, I don't know what to say........Little Girls can be Hellions also, Nice. I think thats the craziest hair ever, good job and yet she is still so dang cute.
Hey, Bailey was the one who flooded our bathroom upstairs and the water went right through the floor to the family room downstairs. Girls can be just as naughty as boys!
I love the hair. Noah and Zach were so excited to have faux hawlks
Kaiya's hair looks amazing! I wouldn't want to brush that out though! Ouch!
Geez, even when you kid has a crazy hair day, it still looks better than my kid's hair on a normal day. I'm gonna have to start sending my girls over to your house to get their hair done so that they will look decent in public.
How fun, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a naughty little 2 year old...Milena has been giving us a lot of fun lately.
I'm sitting here laughing out loud! What fun/funny stories! And I LOVE Kaiya's hair!
