As I was getting out of the shower a few days ago, Emmie burst into my bathroom with her usual Kramer-esque entrance. She then threw herself at me and gave me a big hug and said, "I riddy lub you, Mommy!" Just as I was getting that fuzzy feeling in my heart her eyebrows furrowed and she said, "Well, 'cept for dis squishy tummy!" and proceeded to sqeeze my fat! Oh, the horror.
I am not feeling the love.

Sigh, out of the mouths of babes! I think you don't look like you JUST had a baby! Summer was trying to get me out of bed the other day and shook my side saying, "come on mama, time to get up fat girl...just kidding." WE all know it's true though! :)
Oh my gosh i miss those girls so much! That is SO funny! And by the way, I'm sure you look great!!
Sadly even a comment from one of the kids doesn't motivate me to do anything about it! I wish I was in as great of shape as you are!
Oh the things kids say! I think you are looking wonderful!
Don't you just love it! It took weeks to convince Bailey that the baby wasn't growing in my boobs!
My sister, who hasn't yet known the joys of pregnancy, told me last week, "Your butt's getting really big." Thanks Christine!! I guess she's easing me into my own girls getting older. I don't think it matters what shape someone is in--if it's not that, it'll be bad clothes or hair or something. My mom has hearing loss and I'm pretty sure she had her hearing aids turned off for most of my teenage years.
Shoot, even when I think I'm in good shape, *someone* tells me I look like a dude because I don't have any hips or boobs. Then he points out the fact that my ankles are bigger than his. Whatever! Okay, I really need to think about something else. It is nice to know that everyone else has their stories too. Sorry Tarin, I promise not to ruin your blog again. :)
Lisa, are you kiddding me? You are the smallest, prettiest person I know in real life! Even when you're pregnant I must outweigh you by about a hundred pounds. You should feel beautiful with your tiny little ball of a belly.
Are you hitting on me? Just kidding--thank you so much! I'll remember that when I get the comments or thoughts. You are one of the prettiest people I know.
After I had Milli, Stacia came to me and said "mom the baby came out right" and I said yes and she said, "well, if the baby is out then why is your tummy still so big?" You've just gotta love 'em don't ya.
