Yesterday, we had my family over for cake and ice cream. Hayden got two giant presents this year - a big girl bed, and a trampoline. During naps yesterday, Daddy set up her big girl bed in another room. While my family was here, we unvieled the new bed and her grandma gave her some adorable new bedding.
Here is Hayden, waiting outside her door for her big-girl surprise...
Excited for her big bed!...
Then Mommy made the mistake of saying that it's so big, she should sleep in it with ALL of her sisters that night. This is her saying, "OH, NO! No no no!"...
Then she opened a tiny present from her sisters, and a baby doll from her grandma. She is still obsessed with the baby, and feeds it and rocks it every day. And get this, the purple baby's name is "Pink". My child is a little confused...
Then we sang "Happy Birthday", and had cupcakes and ice cream!...
My dad, brother, and a family friend were kind enough to stay late, in the freezing cold wind, to set up a trampoline for Hayden to wake up to on her actual birthday. I am hoping that will be the gift that keeps on giving and that all the kids will spend a LOT of time in the back yard! Here she is early this morning, seeing her big big BIG present!...
For dinner on her birthday, at her Grandma Susan's suggestion, we took her to Monkey Island with some friends. We had pizza, MORE cupcakes, and lots of fun! Hayden wants to live at Monkey Island...
More presents!...
Hayden, I love you so very much! Thank you for bringing so much fun and love and laughter to our family these last three years. You are my sweetheart! Happy Birthday.
